Per the Student Code of Conduct, a loss or restriction of privileges sanction means the organization has had specific privileges and abilities limited. Violation of the Standards of Conduct during the probationary period could result in more serious penalties including social probation or revocation of University registration. ![]() It does not restrict social privileges but rather serves as an indication that the organization is not in good disciplinary standing. Disciplinary Probation means that a student organization is permitted to retain University registration on a probationary status. It is often coupled with educational requirements. No organizations are currently on Social Probation.ĭisciplinary Probation is the lowest level of probation for a student organization. Violation of the Standards of Conduct during the social probationary period could result in more serious penalties including revocation of University registration. Social Probation prohibits a student organization from sponsoring or participating in or hosting specified social activities or participating in University-affiliated activities (e.g., Homecoming, All Sing, Carnicus, intramurals). Student organizations who are placed on Deferred Suspension are also generally given developmental sanctions. If the student organization is found responsible for any additional violation(s) of the Standards of Conduct while the organization is on Deferred Suspension, then the sanction of Suspension will be the minimum sanction that will be imposed in a Formal Hearing on the subsequent misconduct. A student organization may be placed on Deferred Suspension for serious misconduct or in the case of repeated misconduct. Residents should not have been charged for spring housing or dining costs yet however, if there are issues or questions about billing, students should contact Campus Housing.In an effort to be transparent and hold our groups to the highest standards, the Office of Sorority & Fraternity Life has made a commitment to share information regarding our community’s conduct history beginning in Fall 2016. Campus Housing can answer all questions related to costs and billing for housing and dining for residents who transfer. Residents who are interested in a new housing assignment should contact Campus Housing at (859) 257-1866. Residents can transfer their housing assignment, if they would like to remain in on campus housing. Rooms should be returned to their condition at move in including bunking beds and doing general cleaning. Any damages to resident rooms will be noted to be billed to the resident as is standard procedure. Normal move-out procedures will be followed including a room inspection. All residents and their guests will need to follow COVID-19 precautions, including wearing a mask at all times. The name of this person should be submitted to Travis Buchanan when you sign up for your move-out shift. Each resident will be allowed to bring one person with them to assist with move-out.
